7-foot-2 center, Kai Sotto, has opted to join the NBA G League’s professional pathway program. His decision fills another spot on the new Los Angeles-based select team, that will feature Jalen Green, Isaiah Todd, and Daishen Nix.
Shams Charania of The Athletic broke the news on May 11.
Sotto, from the Philippines, has been playing at Ateneo de Manila High School in his native country. But has been training at The Skill Factory in Atlanta, pondering over potential moves to NCAA Division 1 colleges and overseas teams.
The 18-year-old is ranked by ESPN as being the 62nd prospect in the 2021 NBA Draft.
Sotto represented the Philippines in the FIBA Under-19 World Cup in 2019. Averaging 11.7 points and 7.9 rebounds, in 7 games.
